This workbook applies CUHP and the Modified Puls method to design detention basin storage and outlet structures for stormwater management:

1.  To calculate watershed hydrology using embedded CUHP based on watershed characteristics and rainfall inputs.

2.  To determine required detention storage volumes, including WQCV and EURV.

3.  To determine if basin geometry is adequate to meet storage requirements.

4.  To design and size the outlet structure.

5. To route storm events and evaluate peak outflow, ponding depth, and drain time to meet regulatory requirements.
